The hong kong ping pong Club
Remember when going out used to be fun? Do you prefer dancing to posing? Does your idea of dressing to impress have nothing to do with designer labels and everything to do with finding a gorilla costume in the perfect shade of purple? Bored of identikit ‘edgy’ nights called Fraktion, Elastik, and other ironically misspelt words? Well despair no more, because The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club is here to restore your faith in the weekends!
Playing an eclectic mix including everything from breaks, to dub step, to hip hop, DJs Morphosis and Fat Harry have spent the last few years working their musical magic to establish HKPP as one of the most vibrant, unique, and fun nights in the South West. As their popularity grew so too did the HKPP family, enlisting hip hop and scratch maestro DJ Spinforth to the cause. A perfect combo for Grinagog '17.
Ghetto Funk All Stars
Ghetto Funk started out life as a UK based online blog and record label which was founded by Simon and Will in August 2010. They wanted to create something for the burgeoning 'party breaks’ scene so that people had a place to find the latest music and artists contributing to this new and exciting sound. The Ghetto Funk blog and label played an important role in the establishment of ‘Ghetto Funk’ as a genre - a term that would go on to describe this style of mid tempo funk music with big basslines.
